I am so very excited, this is my third week guest designing with the city crafter challenge blog, it has been so much fun working with all the girls at city crafter, their challenges are always interesting and the design team always creates wonderful, wonderful projects...
This week the challenge came in the form of a wonderful sketch to work with, this is my rendition... I truly hope you enjoy, it has been so much fun designing for this blog, thank you once again Kirsty and all the wonderful girls at city crafter...
I absolutely love these papers from "glitz", the colors are a bit out of my comfort zone but I just LoVe them...

I am so very excited to guest designing again at the city crafter challenge blog, I absolutely love making cards and this is just a dream come true... this week the challenge is "pretty inside and out" what a wonderful challenge, so often we forget about the inside of the card and yes the inside is as important as the outside... I decided to make a shabby little card with the central focus on "love"... I absolutely love these papers by girls paperie, the frame is melissa frances and the sentiment is crafty secrets... I don't know if you can see but I used a clear glaze on the inside of the frame for extra glam.... and the inside is just fun... hope you enjoy....

I have been searching for months, looking for the right brown leather handbag.... finding absolutely nothing that I really "like" and is worth at least 250.00, so searching through my closet I found an old stone mountain bag that was very, very plain.... So I decided to embellish it, to make it me, I just love the way this came out, wish it was a bit bigger but all in all it's more me than anything in the stores.... what a fun project and absolutely free.....

I adhered this lace to a plain piece of the leather... i love the vintage feel it created...
I'm thinking these might be fun to look for at used clothing stores, embellishing and selling them on etsy.... hmmmmm...

I am so excited to be guest designing this week at city crafter, they are a weekly challenge blog featuring wonderful card artists.... their projects are always intriquing... invoking wonderful creations... I tend to have a shabby vintage style when it comes to cardmaking, I have an album on my sidebar that includes a lot of the cards I have made in the past, I also paint, make jewelry and am inspired by photographs, I hope you enjoy visiting my blog I am so happy you stopped by, this is truly a dream come true...
I absolutely love this image, we were asked to use a digital image from bugaboo stamps, this is "thelma", I really wanted to showcase her so i colored her in and cut her out, I also used a clear glaze over the colored images to make the color more permanent, I think she really has presence!! This week also was titled "save the date", so I made a banner at the top to highlight my oldest daughters up coming birthdate!...

I also did a second project... this card uses martha steward papers and not as much of the vintage shabby style my projects usually have...
You can't really see how beautiful this sparkle paper is from martha stewart, it really is wonderful...
I am so very happy you stopped by, it is heartwarming to be guest designing and to have people view my work....

It's funny how things change, one minute we are in one life situation and the next we are in another. Feelings that once were, are distorted, misshapen, maybe; seen clearly for the first time, bringing us to a new place, uncharted waters, scarey, yet a sense of calm, relief, peace.....
