This week intheshabbytearoom the inspiration photo was absolutely gorgeous, a beautiful wedding cake oozing with chocolate fudge gently dripping over the edges to create a frame of pure heaven!! For 20 years I was a cake decorator and I absolutely loved making wedding cakes of any sort!, I did many as I recall and this week I had to take this challenge on....... with so many ideas going around in my head I had to go with the cake idea instead of fall colors so this is my rendition!! by the by my favorite cakes to make when I was a decorator were strawberry cream with chocolate fudge gently cascading down the sides and of course chocolate covered strawberries on top as a garnish...............these dessert cakes were so gorgeous I just loved the way the case looked with all the cakes and pastries...........now that I think of it I'm missing that job.............but it really was hard work the baking process was quite a work out!! I hope you enjoy........................
the cake so inspired me I just had to make a faux cake to go along with my card...............I just love the way it turned out in all it's shabby goodness and it's just the cake I love zero calories..........
as for the card this was definitely my most difficult card yet it is all hand done there is no stamping just my little mind whirring about with possibilities..........................................................
I really love the fudge effect I was afraid it wasn't going to work but it did.....................
I just love these papers by my minds eye they are just sooooooo shabby...........................
The faux cake was originally a plain oval box that I decorated as if it were the top layer of a cake
.........................................................................................................................................................................................................
............................................................................................................................................................................................................
This was so much fun I hope you enjoy. This brought back so many sweet memories for me and right now I'm just dreaming of a chocolate cupcake.........................

Just as the first law of gain is desire, so the formula of success is BELIEF.
