Some more new projects.......

Just wanted to share some new things...... I have really been enjoying the outside lately so crafting is slow going lately!!!

this is another little heart canvas I really enjoy making these they are so much fun, they are hand painted acrylic paints, collaged and embellished i just love the colors on this one..............

this next project is a card i did for the shabby tea rooms dt challenge i have tried on several times to become part of their dt maybe this time will be the charm!!  I decided to go with the color theme of pinks and polka dots i just love that combination, hope you enjoy.................................

some new work......................

The weather here in the northeast has been downright brrrrr...... with lots and lots of snow, we have had storm after storm here, when the sun decides to peak through it is so beautiful, the snow looks like glitter, but the grey days seem to meld together into eternity....

since it has been so snowy this january i decided to get my nordic skis out of the shed!! (I used to race xcountry while in HS and College!!) well of course my skis and boots are among the missing but I did find and old team pair, and I have been having a ball going to the park every day to ski my 5k it is so wonderful just to be outdoors amongst nature and other people!!! Lots of other people, i can't believe how many people xcountry ski, its been amazing and wonderful meeting new people each day......

while taking up skiing again, i have been away from my computer and exhausted when i get home, so my crafting has been a bit on hold.....but i do have a few new projects to share they are valentine inspired the first is a heart canvas i painted that i topped with beeswax, i like the way the wax made the vintage sheet music translucant...... i hope you enjoy.....

This next project is a little collage i made out of a paper mache gift box, i think it is soooooo cute, i love the spool, it's one of my grammas...............

Sooooo Cold......

It is just so darn cold outside!!! At 6:30 this beautiful, cold morning I got a call from Matt, his car had broke down and could I come wait with him until the tow truck came.  Well I got dressed and headed out the door, while driving the temperature outside just kept dropping! by the time i reached his car it wa minus10, he and Sandy (his doggie) were very happy to see my warm car!! They jumped in and warmed up, I gave him a ride home while the tow truck took his car away, by the time I got home the temp was minus 18, man was it cold but always in the midst of the coldest days the sky is absolutely gorgeous no clouds and the bluest ever......

to warmer days hopefully they will arrive sooner than later................off to the gym...............

New Work......

I have been busy working on some new pieces, just thought I would share to see if I get any feedback please tell me what you think!!!! I love to know what others think of my work.

I am really intrigued with folk art, I have enjoyed it's simple presence for some time now, last year I started working on some girl paintings that have that folk art feel, they are painted and collaged, this year I am going to try to keep working within that realm to try and make my paintings evolve more.....This first painting is an angel theme, I have always loved angel art so this is my attempt......
I love adding 3'dimensional elements to the background like the flowers and the vintage lace i think they add just the right touch.......
The paper hill she's sitting on is one of my all time favorite papers i'm so glad i can enjoy it always now that it is the base of this painting..........
My next painting comes from my absolute love of cupcakes...... and the magical whimsical world of make believe........ hence the cupcake girl emerges.......
I tried to add just a touch of sparkle to transform you to another world....... one of rabbit holes and nasty queens..................
I am working on another painting now soon to share I hope you enjoyed........hope to have more to share soon........

Happy Homemaker Swap

I am so very excited to be included in this swap hosted by Elizabeth at creative breathing, I have wanted to be in one of her swaps since I started reading her blog many months ago, what a wonderful blog it is filled with so many beautiful crafts, she is amazing, I hope you hop on over to check out her work and all the other talented girls included in the swap.

I had a really difficult time thinking of a theme for this evolving swap, finally it hit me, since pink is my favorite color I decided my theme would be Pink Bling, so each month my two tags will have just a bit of pink bling incorporated into their design, maybe a little or maybe a lot!!!  I really could not wait to get started on the long running swap, my purchases made onto my supplies and my first two tags!!! Yey..................
These are the papers and supplies i purchased and or chose for this year long swap, I probably added too much but i like to be overwhelmed with supplies when I work............................
after sitting down to work on my first two tags i realized i made a little boo boo, i forgot to order doubles of my chip images and stickers so some of my tags may not be exactly the same from month to month since i don't have two images of each but the design will be the same on each tag, so sorry.... and these are my January set of tags, I hope you like them............................
