ATC magic......... What fun........

For quite some time now i have been amazed at atc's, but just haven't sat down and given them a whirl..... Over the weekend i bought some of the 7 gypsies atc's in a kit, they were lots of fun and i really love the papers but they just were not shabby enough, so i thought i would make my own in papers that really make my heart sing.....

I was also drooling over the small library box they decorated and displayed their atc's in so i decided to make my own library box and decorate it in a shabby style.....i really love the way it turned out, i even found an old glass drawer pull to embellish the box with, it truly does look like a little drawer!!!! This project was quite easy if you would like instructions please let me know.....

Since the tea room is all about buttons and bows this week and my little project is full of buttons and bows and everything nice, i thought i would share my box display and atc's......

I know i probably put in way to many pictures but these little works of art were so much fun, i cannot wait to fill my drawer with shabby pink little wonders!!! I can just see them bursting out of the drawer in wonderful shapes and designs ready to warm my heart and make me smile!!!!

A very exciting day....................

I am so excited i recently received my mini collage from my partner, carol, she makes the most lovely things, you must check out her blog, there are treasures surely to be found............. her collage was soooooo pretty i decided to highlight it in a collage of favorite paper projects of mine and display in my sewing room, i just love the way it all came out, so without further ado...........

My Forever Valentine........... Daddy............

When I was a little girl i just could not wait for Valentines Day, all the wonderful surprises at school, the unexpected Valentines given by someone completely unexpected.... how wonderful was that, it just brings a smile to my face to think of those years.....

I remember I just couldn't wait till 5 o'clock, that's when my dad came home from work and he would always have a heart filled with candy, one for mom, and one for me, it's just hard to forget how special i felt, that simple jesture each year made my heart whole....

A few years ago i lost my forever valentine, and not a day goes by that i don't think of him, what a special dad he was and remains in my heart... this little art quilt is one i did after i lost my dad, it's amazing how healing this project was and still is when i look at it..... my heart was broken and doves flew in to mend it... and it's still that way today although the good sweet memories remain...

A Sweet little Collage Swap and Challenge all in ONe..................

I am so very lucky to be included in a swap for all seasons mini fabric collage.  I am also doubly lucky to be partnered up with Elizabeth Gomer, we have been partnered up together three special times and i am looking forward to see her collage, she does wonderful work........ My mini collage is heart based since it is February and hearts abound this month, I hope you enjoy..... a little challenge to warm the heart.............

Another little challenge at the tea room this week, get creative hmmmm sounds like fun so i think i will give it a go......... this card is really cut and paste!! the flower is handmade and stamped, the center image is handstamped and the hearts are made of felt, i just love using felt it gives such a homespun feel.......

I sooooo love this lace, it is vintage from a local antique store the seller told me it was handmade, i wish i could make lace like this its so beautiful.............

I did a little overstamping because i felt the sentiment just wasn"t bold enough!!!!!!!
